Important changes

• We decided not to allow the operator to resign.
• It was strictly stressed that operators cannot touch any input device on the computer during the game.
• The item of “Abnormal termination of programs" was deleted from the stop condition of the game. If a program does not return the next move due to abnormal termination and so on, the game will continue until the expiration of time.
• The item of "In case of the normal progress of the game cannot be made" was added. In such case, operators must seek the judgement of the referee promptly.

• Until the past competitions, the game started with the "match" command by players, but the "adminmatch" command is newly established and the start of the game will be decided by the administrator. Be aware that the previous "match" command can no longer be used!

≫We prepared a new ruby script and CGF board for bridging between NNGS and GTP. Please download it from the following page.

# Since the administrator will start the game, the game will not start even if you log in the two programs. The ruby script does not need to designate an opponent, but you need to correctly set the opponent's black and white on the CGF board.

• The item of "Categories of participation" was deleted.
• We added the following requirement to the thinking module using other programmer's source code. If you use other programmer's code in your module, you need to get permission to use that code from the original programmer. However, such programs must add an explicit unique contrivance at least.
• All participants must prepare and submit a document describing the unique and appealing points of his/her program. This document will be published to our UEC Cup Tournament website.

• On the second day (final), the final ranking is decided by round-robin competition by the two ranking leagues (1st to 6th in the A-League, 7th to 12th in the B-League) of the top 12 teams following the order of the preliminary-match ranking.
• The first day (preliminary match) is carried out in a modified Swiss style as before to reduce matchmaking time.
